Diagnostic

Dr. Rouff and his staff use the latest technology to review the oral health status of our patients.

If you’ve ever wondered what your dentist sees when looking inside your mouth, a new device can help. It’s called the intra-oral camera and it’s allowing many of our patients to see what really is behind their smile.

An intra-oral camera is essentially a small television camera fitted onto a pen-sized wand. By placing the device inside your mouth, Dr. Rouff can explore and record images 40 times larger than the actual size.

The camera is connected to a video monitor that stores and displays the digital photos as a visual record. And for our patients, these images provide an incredible view. From gums, molars, dental sealants to restorations, the intra-oral camera offers a view that until recently, could only be described.

While Dr. Rouff uses the device to help diagnose a patient’s oral health status, we’ve also discovered that patients better understand their oral health status after viewing their mouth close-up!

Dental Materials Reactivity Testing

The Clifford Materials Reactivity Testing (CMRT) is a laboratory screening process used to help identify existing sensitivity problems to various chemical groups and families of compounds in an individual patient. Note: The materials that we have available at Dental Health and Wellness satisfy the compatibility needs of over 95% of our general client population. However, those with extreme health challenges, environmental sensitivities, or immune system challenged profiles are encouraged to consider this option.
